Daily Outfit - 07/28/11

First things first . . .




Now that that is out of my system, here is a look at what I wore yesterday. Yep, another maxi dress!

I picked up this great cardigan over the weekend at TJ Maxx. The sleeves and front are made of a "tissue" weight cotton with this gorgeous lace back. It is the perfect layering piece for days that are in the high 90s (like today).

Daily Outfit - 7/27/11

Ahh, maxidresses! I know some people say they can't wear them, but I love them too much to worry about it. I scored this one earlier in the spring at Goodwill and always rake in the compliments when I wear it. The bright colors are fantastic! In the past I paired it with purple, but opted to go with this coral cropped cardi today.

Daily Outfit - 7/26/11

It is hard to believe, but there was a time when I never wore dresses unless it was a special occasion. That changed about 4 years ago and this was one of the first dresses I bought to wear to work, etc. Considering the price of less than $20 it was definitely worth it! I have layered over and under it a few times a year since then.

Leopard Maxi for Less

I am a sucker for leopard and maxis, so of course Jessica Alba and Helen Mirren caught my eye in this Dolce and Gabbana leopard maxi. I don't think I even want to know the price of the D and G dress, but luckily Forever 21 offers a great look for less in sizes small to 3x for less than $30.

Daily Outfit - 7/22/11

Last Thursday I received a Down East Basics catalog in the mail. It reminded me that I had ordered this dress from them a year and half ago and had never worn it (it was way too tight when I got it). Since it more than fit now I decided to wear it on Friday making my "what to wear decision" super easy!

At first I was thinking I wanted a bright ball bead necklace to wear with it, but then decided to keep the jewelry simple and go with these coral snakeskin heels. I can't wait to pair this dress with a stripe belt in the future for a more "fun" look.
