The below review was originally posted 7/7/10.
A couple of weeks ago when Lane Bryant announced their big "Buy 2 Bras, Get 2 Free" it created quite the string of comments on Facebook about bras and how to wash them. I was shocked by the number of gals that seemed surprised that you shouldn't just toss your bras in the washer and dryer with the rest of clothes and expect them to last.
I have been washing my bras in mesh bags forever and hanging them to dry. However, sometimes they still get a little banged up and dented (side note: I like bras with molded cups due to having a couple breast fibroadenomas that have been surgically removed and the shape that these types of bras provide me). So, when I received the opportunity to review the Berry Ball* I jumped at it!
The Berry Ball is a "ball" that you wash your bra in, and it gives your bra the ultimate protection while still allowing it to get super clean in the laundry machine. Plus you receive a mesh bag to wash your panties in also with the $14 set.
(what you receive with Berry Ball Set)
The Berry Ball comes in two sizes (small for 32-36A/B, 32-34C, 32D and large for 36-38B, 34-38C, 32-38D). Also, there is a smaller "spiked" ball that goes into the Berry Ball to assist in the washing process.

The ball securely latches closed so there is no worry about it springing open during the spin cycle (who has had a mesh bag's zipper work it way open during the wash cycle before? I know I have).
Pop the Berry Ball in with the rest of your laundry (they say you can include up to 2 Berry Balls in one load of laundry) and your bra will come out clean and dent free.
If you wear bras that have molded cups, are padded or have gel-pad inserts I highly recommend using a Berry Ball vs. the typical mesh bag.
Think you might want to try one, check out Comfort House who will be offering the Berry Balls online a little later this month.
*The Berry Ball was provided to me at no cost for the purpose of this review.
