Sisterhood of the Traveling Scarf - Round 3

TravelingScarf

I was thinking, ladies, and I have decided it is time for Round 3 of the Traveling Scarf!! One of the things I love most about fashion and clothes are the many interpretations and combinations that different people create. The way people mix things together and put their own spin on each article of clothing is truly amazing.

Remember the movie Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants? Well, here at FFUF we know that pants can't magically fit every shape and size, however, a scarf can! With this project one scarf will be passed along in to various women all over the USA to use in their outfit in anyway they want. The participant will take a picture or two of their outfit and email all of the info to me to share on FFUF (and their blog too if they want).

I have coordinated this a couple of times before (Round 1 and Round 2 - check 'em out to read and see more) and it was a great experience for all involved.

However, I've also learned a lesson or two from doing this in the past, so the guidelines are going to change a bit this time around.

1/ You must have a blog or be an active commenter on mine to participate. This provides a bit of accountability for the scarf and participation in the Traveling Scarf.

2/ Initially, I am limiting the number of participants to 10 people for each scarf (I will be mailing out two scarves simultaneously like I did with Round 2).

3/ You should incorporate the scarf into your outfit within 3 days of receiving it, take pictures, send me the info and forward it on to the next participant. If you can't do that you should forward the scarf on to the next participant regardless. Sorry to sound so harsh, but scarves in the past have spent a 1+ months with some participants and that isn't fair to all involved.

4/ Participants are limited to US mailing addresses only. Sorry to exclude my international readers, but one of the scarves was lost somewhere between Australia and the USA this past round plus it adds a lot of travel time to the overall project.

5/ Mailing the scarf to the next recipient is the participant's obligation. Postage is normally around $3-5.

If you are interested in participating (even after reading all the "rules"), please fill out the form below (leaving a comment on this post won't get you signed up). All of the data will be contained in secure spreadsheet that only I can access.

UPDATE: All 20 spots have been filled. Thanks to all that signed up. I can't wait to kick this off!

Come join the sisterhood!

I'm so pumped for this. I used to wear scarves in my hair when it was long. But now I have a whole box of scarves that aren't used.
I loved seeing you loop one around a necklace not that long ago.

I'm hoping to score some ideas from this!

I would participate. But my 17 month old likes to take off all my accessories when I get home from work. We probably wouldn't want peanut butter on the scarf!

Hooray for inspiring scarf usage!
