Daily Outfit - 09/08/10

dailywear

This is what I wore to work yesterday. As you read this I will either be flying to or already in Minneapolis to visit my best friend from college, her hubby and my new "niece" and then meeting up with this Bombshell Beauty for a couple of days.

I've got a few posts scheduled while I am away so you shouldn't miss me too much! :-)

White Top - Lane Bryant Outlet via Sonsi, $10 (Summer 2010)
Blue Open Front Cardi - Kmart, clearance for $7 (Summer 2009)
Scarf as Belt - Vintage Vera/Thrifted, <$2 (2009)
Skirt - Target, clearance for $5 (Summer 2010)
Purple Peep Toe Heels - Vera for Kohl's, $30-ish (2009)

Oh my gosh, you're here! There's a blogger conference this weekend with a Friday night networking event - drop me a note if you want the details. Should be super fun!

How are you fastening the scarf as a belt? I was playing around with this and couldn't get the look I wanted in the back. I'd love any suggestions.

Very nice I love the whole outfit. Love what you did with the scarf. I need to incorporate more scarves in my wardrobe.

What a pretty color combo! I love your creativity with scarves :) Do you do anything to keep your scarves from loosening when you wear it at the waist? I've tried to wear a silk scarf at my waist, and it never stays put...

Oh, and P.S., have a safe and fun trip! My favorite part about Minneapolis is the Aveda institute. You can get pampered on the cheap :)

Chiming in very, very late to say that those colors are just stunning on you. I adore the pattern mixing of the belt and skirt as well!
