If you follow my tweets you saw that I was contemplating a Kmart trip on Friday after work. I did decide to hop off the interstate on my way home and see what they had. The clothing section was still full of summer stuff and I almost grabbed a neon yellow and gray striped tee but opted to check out the shoes and accessories instead.
Once in the shoe department I grabbed a pair of sandals and also spied a pair of clogs. I predicted in May that I would be wanting a pair of clogs for fall. You see I have issues with fall/winter shoes. I hate feeling all closed in and having shoes that are difficult to get off and on (i.e. boots) especially on weekends when I am in and out of the house and also, I like having a little bit of height from my shoes. Flats are great, but not all the time. So, I decided this pair of brown clogs would be perfect for my fall/winter casual needs.
Then I came across this sequin scarf and all I could think is "this is the perfect way to had some sparkle" to my wardrobe. I have a couple of pairs of sequin shoes, but love the idea of the scarf! Sequins hit the fashion scene hard in the Spring and the trend is going to continue into Fall.
The best part is I added these two trendy items to my wardrobe for only $22! Have you shopped Kmart lately? What trendy finds have you come across?

I have this awesome pink sparkly scarf that I got from Paris when I went there, but I have no idea how to incorporate it into my wardrobe. Help? If you like I can take a pic of it and show you, because.. yeah... I have no clue.
man we don't have Kmarts in Chicago. They went bankrupt a few years back. :(

Clogs for the fall, what a great idea! I've been eying them but couldn't figure out where or when I would have an opportunity to wear them. Hmmm!

They should be coming out with some nice pieces for Fall, I posted their lookbook on my site a few weeks back. I went in there the other day, but I didn't see anything, I might try the larger one closer to my house, they seem to be less picked over. I like that scarf!
i have a great top and dress from a trip to kmart a few weeks ago, and the fiance + i just went back yesterday, when i snagged 2 maxi dresses. kmart has become another store recently added to my affordable go-to list!
Those clogs are adorable! I was a bit doubtful of them at first. I just remember wearing them back in the 90's and hoped they would never resurface on the fashion scene again. But these ones I may have to check out. Thanks Kim!

@IBserenity: There are several Kmarts in Chicago. The corporate headquarters are outside Chicago too. Try the store locater for a store near you.
