I have come to the realization that I need a pair of cold-weather shoes that have a wedge heel. Over the summer I found that on casual Fridays and weekends I grabbed pairs of wedge sandals the most often. They are comfy, give me a little height, offer more stability than a heel, plus they made me feel more pulled together than a pair of flat sandals.
However, in thinking ahead and visualizing my fall and winter shoe wardrobe I have a hole that needs to be filled. My mailbox has been stuffed daily this week with all the fat September Issues of various fashion mags. I haven't made it through them all, but I have already narrowed down what I want on my feet this fall come casual days.
I want to find the perfect mix of these:

Lace-Up Booties + Rugged Boots + Chunky Ankle Boots + Wedge
I took a quick look around the web and found the following pairs so far:
Boot Options by dddgirl79 featuring GAP shoes
The Gap ones on the bottom are currently not only my favorite, but the best priced. I am initially drawn to the khaki color, but think the flint gray might be better. Decisions, decisions . . . hmmm . . .
Have you seen any boots like this? What is on your list for Fall Footwear?

I have one pair of wedge boots, but they are knee high, olive green suede, so I don't wear them that often... I should get a pair of wedge shoes though, I have so many wedge sandals but it is too cold for them like 8 months out of the year!
Very cute wedge boots. I found some a year back for $10, and I kick myself for not getting them :(
I want the thigh high black flat boots on torrid!
Those Gap one's are super cute!! I hope you got on the Groupon $50 Gap vouchers for $25, because that would make those a steal!! :)
I just saw those Gap ones. I really like them. I have been gravitating toward 70s styles and I think these would be great with a flowy dress like one of the Tucker ones debuting at Target.
On another note, I was at a loss for what to wear today and I turned to the inspiration calander, but I couldn't make preppy bohem work and just went witha dress. Can't wait to see how you did it.
I want a pair of patent leather gray lace up ankle booties. I wear my black Payless ones at least twice a week in the winter. So far, no luck finding them though. Kind of hoping Payless will come out with some since gray is so in for fall.
I fell in love with chukka (or desert shoe) wedges from Marc by Marc Jacobs when I saw them in one of the July fashion magazines, but they are definitely out of my price range! This style will look great with skinny cargos.
Stop by my page, a posted a wedged boot the other day on there from F21.
