Keely of What I Wear in a Little Town tagged me to share a little bit about myself by answering the following questions. Hope you find it worth reading! :-)
1. Who has been the biggest influence in your fashion life?
My mom - she was/is always supportive of me expressing my creativity through fashion and my shopping habit. I still love our near daily emails that include links to various items online and talking about shopping!
2. If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why?
I always think I want to live in a larger metropolitan city (i.e. NYC), but I know I would miss driving (and my family). It would still be fun to try it out for a couple of years though.
3. Are you okay with alone time and quiet or do you prefer to be around people and noise?
I require alone time!! As an only child, I am completely down with hanging out with myself. If I don't have a couple of hours of alone time every couple of days I get twitchy!
4. What is your favorite piece of clothing that you own or have owned in the past?
A great pair of dark wash jeans - you can do so much with them. Also, I remember a sweater fondly from when I was in elementary school. It looked like a newspaper and I adored it. I saw a similar one at a thrift store last year and almost bought it just for memories sake.
5. What is the best gift you have ever received?
I have received so many great gifts, but one of the most memorable is a Louis Vuitton Purse from my mom for my 24th birthday. It was my first LV, and I still carry it. I received it over 7 years ago (gulp!), but I still remember opening it up at Bonefish Grill at my birthday dinner.
6. What is your favorite TV show?
I love SOOOO MANY, but my all time fav is Sex and the City. I have probably seen each episode at least 10 times!
7. If you could splurge on one piece of clothing, shoes or accessory, what would it be and why?
A Classic Chanel Bag - timeless perfection!
8. Leave us with a few words of wisdom.
Don't sweat the small stuff (or even the big stuff). Life is too short to get caught up in it all.
Now I am supposed to come up with 8 different questions for 8 other bloggers. However, I'm not much on rules, so here are two questions and I invite you all to answer in the comments!
1. What website/blog do you read as a guilty pleasure? (Mine is Texts from Last Night.)
2. Most helpful book you have ever read? (Mine is Miss Charming's Book of Bar Amusements - seems silly, I know, but one trick in that book has yielded me easily over a $100 in my years of bar going!)

I don't think of the blogs I read as "guilty pleasure", just pleasure. I feel like they are the new magazine for me.
The most helpful book I've read: Why Does He Do That? It helped me to better understand a tough situation. Also love Simple Abundance daily reads.
Oh, and thanks for answering my 8 Qs!
I loved reading your answers! The one about your mom is so sweet. My mom and I have a great relationship too but she's not at all into fashion. How awesome that you can share that with yours!
As for the questions...guilty pleasure website would probably Cake Wrecks or People of Wal-Mart or That's My Boss.
Most Helpful Book...is it cliche for me to say the Bible? I hope not. Cuz that's my answer.
I love the blog "regretsy" and Go Fug Yourself, they crack me up.
I have to go with the Bible also for your second question, but cookbooks (I can't pick one!!) are also rather helpful.
I definitely agree with your splurge pick--what I would give for a Chanel bag!!
Nice blog!
My answers:
1. Wait, wait, Don't Blog Me is always good for a laugh!
2. I'm a Bible person, too.
Definitely worth the read :) My Mama is my fashion inspiration, too! Life inspiration, really.
One blog I particularly enjoy is "Look at this f***ing hipster." I am a very preppy girl who goes to a school with many, many hipsters, some of who have become my best friends. But this website is just too funny not to share with them, just to tease a bit.
As for helpful books, I love "What Would Jackie Do?" and "What would Audrey Do?" about Jackie Kennedy Onassis and Audrey Hepburn, respectively. Great guides on living with class and grace!
