Since we have been talking about jackets this week I just had to touch on the timeless classic of the denim jacket. This year-round jacket can be great to slip over a sundress when you are in the cool AC or layer over a tee with cords in the fall and more. The one I have and still wear from time-to-time is from 1999! Yep, it is the oldest piece of clothing in my closet. I bought it from Old Navy not long after they opened their first Indianapolis store.

Celebs are loving their denim jacket with just about everything too - here you can see one layered with a pair of crops and heels, doing the double denim thing with jeans and over a body-con dress.

I got mine from Target from the Converse One line. On Clearance for $15 :D. It's the best fitting jacket i own in dark denim with the best little details and great quality.
How cute is that picture of you! I wish I still had the denim jacket I purchased in high school...it was thick, great quality denim and such a classic style. Oh well!
I used to have a cropped denim jacket from old navy.. I miss it. I accidentally left it in a classroom and forgot to get it.
I love that you included maternity options! I'm expecting and would love a blog about what to wear in the fall that's casual-professional as I'll be a TA and a graduate student.
This is my first baby, so I don't have any maternity clothes but I'm quickly growing tired of seeing boring maternity clothes for plus sized women.

That's great you brought this up, Kimberley. I've been longingly eyeing a white denim blazer jacket on Talbots.com for a couple of weeks & because of your post on the "timelessness" of denim jackets, I might get it after all (even though I'm going to have to get it tailored to fit!).
