Happy Friday!

checkitout

Well, lovelies, I snapped pics of my cute and casual outfit today, but didn't realize till later that my SD card wasn't in the camera at the time. Hmmm, now I have to find that silly cord to get the pics.

So, in the meantime I thought I would do a little wrap-up for the week:

The cute Case of frugal.fatshion.frenzy. bestowed upon me the Stylish Blogger Award. With that I am supposed to share 5 fun facts about myself and pass it on to 5 more bloggers.

1/ I collect "Style" books and love flipping through them. It doesn't matter if they are from the 70s, 90s or published yesterday. I love them!

2/ My car's name is Maxine and she is a Maxima. (Do you name your car?)

3/ I drink way too much soda, and I don't feel bad about it!

4/ I am currently obsessed with Tacos! My fav kinds are the Korean Steak ones from West Coast Tacos and the Fish Tacos from Sahm's.

5/ I always feel really lame putting together list like this. I know I am an interesting and fun person, but never know what to write!

There are so many I would I would like to pass this award on to, but I'll keep it to the 5:
Bombshell Beauty
T Minus T Plus
bon chic bon gastronomique

A Working Mom's Closet
Loving the Reflection

And some randomness:

I saw this book I ♥ Your Style by Amanda Brooks and I want it (see item #1 above). Has anyone read it or seen it in person? Thoughts?

I've painted the soles of my shoes before, but I think I need to get more creative with them like this etsy seller! (via Fashion Me Fabulous)

Fashionalities points at another great necklace to attempt a DIY of. I so need to get my craft on soon!

Speaking of getting my craft on, This to That is a great website that helps you determine which is the best adhesive for the job (via How About Orange).

Want to look good in pictures? Check out these two videos that Katy Harper pulled together on her blog. Also, she made an awesome DIY scarf - check it out!

You know I have a serious love of stripes, so I just had to share this post from Style on a String all about them.

Lastly, you may have heard that I signed up for $10/week shopping challenge (along with T Minus T Plus & Bombshell Beauty). I did great the first week with only spending $12 on 3 new stock Target items I picked up at Goodwill (check out a pic on my facebook or in T's post). However, I blew it on the first day of the second week. But I got some really cute stuff. See:

So, I'm in Indy too, and I must know which goodwill you frequent. I never have any luck. We're different sizes, so I wouldn't be competition!

Yay for Indy Gals!! I am a north sider, so I tend to hit up the Fishers Goodwill at 126th & 37 and the one in Noblesville (off of 37 north of Walmart) the most often. The three Target items I bought most recently came from the Noblesville one.

OOh, I workout at the Y right by that Fishers goodwill. I will have to check it out. Thanks for the tips! :)

I totally name my cars the same way! My current car is Tommy the Toyota. Before Tommy was Harold the Honda and before Harold was Chelly the Chevy (eh eh??) :)

I, too, collect style books. My favorites are probably my Edith Head ones from the 60's; check them out!

I flipped through I (Heart) Your Style a while ago at my local Borders. I was not entirely impressed, but I'm not a big fan of the "style category" books - the kind where they have a list of "looks" (classic, rocker, bohemian, preppy, etc.) and show you examples of each.

I will say that it had a lot of pictures, from red carpets and magazines, and I always like lots of pictures.

Oh my goodness, thank you for passing on the award to me! I'm so incredibly flattered and don't really know what to say. Thanks! :)

And to answer your question about naming cars...I named my Tiburon (that I no longer own). I named it Tibber. Kind of like Tigger, but not. Because I'm THAT kind of dork.

PS - LOVE the shoes you got, especially the red ones. So fantastic.
