This skirt (really a dress) is another item from "limbo land" (which by the way, thanks for all the great comments and support of that idea - if you decide to try it I hope it helps). I didn't rescue it from "limbo land" on Tuesday evening, but kept thinking about it yesterday so grabbed it last night. I think the may reason this dress was exiled to the garage is because it was so horribly wrinkled after washing it I didn't even want to deal. But I washed it last night and spent 10 minutes with the steamer (seriously what did I do before the steamer - so much handier than an iron!) and it is as good as ever.
The
Outfit Inspiration Calendar called for "Patterned Skirt & Oxford Shirt" which is just what a I did. Only I really didn't because like I said above this skirt is a dress (
see here). Also, I decided to let these feathered heels see the light of day today. I bought these on whim in January 2009 when
6pm.com
had a huge Nine West sale and pairs were only $20. I wasn't really feeling these heels last summer, but I am digging the feathers today!

Blue Oxford - Old Navy, clearance for $10 (Spring 2009)
Dress/Skirt - Dots, $13 (2007 or 2008)
Belt - on loan from Tina
Coin Necklace - Target, $15-ish (2005)
Feather Heels - Nine West via 6pm.com
, $20 (Jan. 2009)

Love it - what a great pattern!
I adore everything about this outfit! You must send me that skirt/dress. And the shoes add a great touch of whimsy. Love it!
This outfit is very slimming...and I love the ole oxford! I print off the calendar almost every month and never have remembered to lay it out or plan accordingly... one of these days! =)
Oh, and because I never told you... I simply L-O-V-E the leather laptop bag I bought from you awhile back! Thanks again =)
So pretty! I can't decide if I like the skrit or the heals more. They are both super fab.
What a lovely pattern, and it looks wonderful with that blue blouse!
i love this outfit! it's simple but classy and interesting (in a good way) all at the same time!
That shade of blue was made for you. It should be called Kimberly Blue. :)
You look great...I can tell you have been losing weight!
All right, I've gotta ask... how did you manage to make that dress look like a skirt? Before I saw the pictures, I assumed the shirt would just be worn over top the dress, but you've managed to tuck it some how! I'm intrigued!!
Oh, this is so very clever! And I absolutely love the pattern on the dress/skirt.
What a beautiful skirt! Love the crisp button down with it.
This look totally reminds me of D&G's SS10 ready to wear collection...a sophisticated take on the Wild West. I just love how you took the patterned skirt and gave it a whole new life!
