Back in January I shared that a
Statement Necklace is a great "Now & Later" piece that can be mixed with a multitude of outfits. In April I took a bit of my own advice and purchased a Coral Oversized Necklace off of ebay (similar to
J.Crew's Bubble Necklace). I wasn't sure if it was "too large" or if the color would work with my wardrobe, but for the price, I bought it.

What a great necklace it turned out to be! I have received so many compliments on this necklace over the past couple of months. Tina of
T Minus T Plus loved it also, so I swapped it with her while at the Lane Bryant Blogger Conference (with very stritch instructions she could keep it for 2 weeks tops - I knew I would miss it!).
Just check out all of the ways that we have both worn the necklace:

So do you rock the statement necklace? Still in the market for the perfect one? Here are some to consider!

That necklace is utterly fab on both of you! I bet Tina will have trouble sending it back your way ...
That necklace is one of the most fantastic pieces of jewelry ever. I still need to find a great (affordable) statement necklace.
I'm in LOVE with the blue version of THIS necklace from Francesca's! But I just haven't gotten up the courage to buy it yet. It's $38. So not too bad for a statement piece, but a lot for something that I might never wear...
But I did buy this one (in silver/pewter) from Coldwater Creek, and I LOVE IT! It has become my most worn accessory.
I loved borrowing that necklace. Thanks again, Kimberly!
Adorable necklace! I'm a big statement necklace gal myself, and own 5-6 of them that I am constantly wearing. I actually usually invest more in statement jewelry than my actual clothing because I end up wearing it more! =)
Target has tons of great statement jewelry that is really affordable, and holds up well, too!

Any advice on maybe making a statement necklace? I'm going through a big crafting phase right now!
Cara,
I've been wanting to make my own statement necklace for a while, too. I found this tutorial on how to make one out of rope cord. Looks pretty simple and the result is super cute!
This site also had a lot of ideas for under $5!

i love u and tinas outfits with this necklace! FAB GIRLS!
I loved your necklace so much I have since bought three necklaces on a search for one like it. BTW none of them are anything like yours, but I can always find something to buy!
l love this necklace and especially the great color! Although I have a decent collection of statement necklaces, I've recently become obsessed with belts with bows and intricate details. Another way to spend money lol.
