If you have read my blog for a length of time then you already know I am a huge fan of Sex and the City (just click on the SATC label and see all my posts). I started watching it in college and even when I was working two jobs out of college, my equally poor roomies and I made sure we had HBO so we could gather 'round and watch it every Sunday evening. When I ventured to NYC with girlfriends about a year and half ago we made sure get a cupcake from Magnolia Bakery, glam it up in the Meatpacking District and walk the steps of the New York Public Library.
However, next time I am in NYC, I will be going on the SATC Hotspots Tour by On Location Tours so I can be sure to check out all of the famed spots from the show and movies.

It's a vintage cream blazer and an old mickey mouse t-shirt. So simple and so chic! And she is with Berger! :)
My favorite SATC moment, is more my favorite episode. It's called "The Real Me" and is mostly known as the episode where Carrie becomes "fashion road kill." I love this episode, because each woman goes through a moment where they need to find the self acceptance within themselves instead of outside of themselves.
I also might get a little teary eyed during the fashion show while cleaning out Carrie's closet in the movie.
My two fav moments: 1. as the end of season 4 eps "The Real Me". Its after the disaster on the runway and she is dancing through her closet like the supermodel she is on the inside.
2. Is at the end of season 3 opener "Where there is smoke..." when Charlotte is on the ferry and yell, "Where is he already?!"
I bet both those speak to every girl at some point.
My favorite show is the last one, when Big goes to Paris to find Carrie. I cryed for days after that show.
My favorite moment is Smith's expression captured by the paparazzi when Samantha tells him she has cancer.
I'm still mad they broke up in the movie!!

SOOO many to chose from ...but the best line (IMO) and most favorite was: "Easy? You men have no idea what we're dealing with down there. Teeth placement, and jaw stress, and suction, and gag reflex, and all the while bobbing up and down, moaning and trying to breathe through our noses. Easy? Honey, they don't call it a job for nothing!"

My favorite SATC moment is from season 3, when Carrie and Samantha go to Natasha's Women in the Arts Luncheon and Carrie receives the thank you note where Natasha has used the wrong form of there--"Sorry I couldn't be their."--when the correct form is "there." Carrie basks in the glory that Natasha is not better than her in every aspect.
my favorite SATC episode is when the four of them go to their former friend's house in "the burbs" of NYC for her baby show ...I laughed out loud because I could reallyrelate as I saw it when I was pregnant myself! It really touched on the tension between "being mom" and letting go of your old inner identity.

One of my favorite SATC scenes is more of a lesson in personal finance rather than fashion. The scene at the bank when she tries to get financing to buy her apt. is illuminating; I don't know how I'd react if someone told me that I'd spent $40K on shoes and that that could have been my down payment! But oh, what gorgeous shoes she had on the show. I'd probably consider selling some of my beloved shoes at that point in order to make some money.

My favorite moment was when Bunny Macdougal found out about Charlotte having an affair and, much to the audience's surprise, all she could say was "Charlotte, you're a Macdougal now!" I quote that often with friends, even if it doesn't fit the context!
