Wear Your Green & Don't Get Pinched

checkitout

This Wednesday is St. Patrick's Day and you will want to be sure to wear at least a little green or risk getting pinched by some creepy guy at the bus stop or on the elevator (it's always the creepy ones that take advantage of that tradition).

Now, the majority of St. Patrick's Days over the past decade I have spent the day at a bar drinking green beer, playing dirty word Scrabble (hey, you have to do something to entertain yourself during the 10+ hours at a bar!), and looking a little something like this:

St. Patty's Day 2007

Decked out in my St. Patty's Tee and lots of green beads

This year, however, I am going to be at the office working the day away, so I need an outfit that works in a little green. Here are some looks I brainstormed up over at Coutourious and Looklet for St. Patty's Day.

One of my favorite combinations - dress, cardi and belt and don't forget to add a "pot of gold" to your feet with some metallic shoes.

Here is another good look with the patterned green shirt kept professional with the vest and black pants.

Have a great St. Patty's Day and stay away from the creepy pinchers!

I am wearing something VERY similar to the first outfit! Only the top is technically a mini-dress that I am wearing over some leggings for work!

Green is a fantastic color on you. Like you mentioned above, I spent my Saturday sporting a t-shirt and jeans. Any smart person who participates in day drinking knows that there's no point in getting dolled up for this occasion.

I think I would smack someone if they pinched me. Boston is hella insane on St. Patrick's day and I am not normally rebellious but being Irish in a very Irish city makes me want to wear red. BUT I do have a lovely green dress that needs to be worn....
