Hi there...I love your site. Just discovered it recently. You always look so put together and shop at many of the same places I do.
I bought a great pair of black leggings at the Gap and some black suede scrunch boots to go with them. What do you suggest wearing on top that is conservative enough to cover my bottom without looking maternity? As a former plus size gal (lost 100 pounds recently and am down to a size 12), I have some areas (namely my mushy stomach) I need to be mindful of when dressing.
Also, what else can women who aren't tiny wear with leggings (on top and for shoes) now and in the Spring?
Thanks!!!
Jen
First off, Jen, major congratulations on your weight loss. That is a huge accomplishment! I pulled together four looks that work well with leggings along with a couple of shopping options for the items that make up the look.

The look above utilizes a great oversized white shirt for a classic look. The vest helps give the outfit some structure and a colorful bag is always fun.

There is no better way to look classic and polished then by pulling on a trench coat. This is a great look for running weekend errands and the pop of pink from the flats adds so much.

For a super casual look, pull on a great denim shirt topped off with a scarf.

Lastly, as the temps rise pair your leggings with a beaded tunic top and a pair of gladiator sandals.

I have this long black button down, and I have been going back and forth over whether I should wear it with leggings or not. That first photo just gave me the inspiration to try it out!
Thanks for the leggings options! I love my new Gap leggings so much, I ordered Banana Republic's cropped version for spring.
I especially like the idea of pairing them with gladiator sandals as I recently purchased a pair of those : )
