Daily Outfit - 3/18/10

dailywear

I'm feeling more like myself back in my usual combo of a skirt and cardigan! Ha! I love it when outfits come together inspired by just one new piece. I snagged this pretty shirt when I bought a few things from Kmart's Super Clearance Sale earlier this week. I ended up ordering 8 things (1 sweater, 1 vest, 1 skirt and 5 shirts - all for $4 each!), and I am impressed by all of them.

As soon as I opened up this shirt I new it was going to look great with this Torrid Cardigan I had purchased a couple of months ago and hadn't worn. It isn't like me to let an item hang in my closet and go unworn, but I struggled with this cardigan because of the finish and white trim. However, I love it paired with this shirt. Lastly, I grabbed this skirt that I have had over a year and was in regular rotation last year but not so much this year. I liked accentuating the high-waist satin band with a skinny belt. Then at the last minute I remembered my new purple watch and the outfit was complete.

Some people may call it matchy-matchy, but I call it cohesive!

I saw that top at Kmart a while ago and I tried it on, but it didn't fit me well, so I passed on it.

When they do clearance, they do it right!

those colors look nice on you!

I say cohesive as well. I think that the finish of the sweater makes it not really matchy matchy to me. I love this look Kimberly. I am also envisioning this as a great spring cardi paired with white and yellow, or spring green. I love it!

This outfit looks great! I've only very rarely bought clothing from K-mart so I'm apprehensive about ordering online. But I need to get my butt down to the store because they have been having some surprisingly cute things lately!

I love the purple watch. Watches are like shoes with me-- there's no such thing as too many.

This is a great outfit, you look fabulous today! I love the bright spring colors and I don't think it's too match-y, close, but it totally works. Just starting reading your blog and gotta say, I love your style!

Ooh I debated for days about getting that cardi too but ultimately decided not to get it. I REALLY like how you've styled it here. And that watch looks so expensive! I love it.

I was going to say that I ordered the same top, but now I'm not seeing it in my order. Maybe they ran out. It's so cute though, and you're right, the cardigan is perfect with it.
