Capsule Wardrobe Challenge - Day #5 - DROP OUT!!
Well, I predicted it yesterday that by today I would be a drop out of the Wardrobe Challenge and I was right. I wanted something super comfy for today because I thought I had 3 hours of CPR training (that has since been canceled for today) this morning. Also, I really wanted to try the whole belt over a scarf thing that I first spied last summer on Cabi's Blog (look #4) and kind of forgot about until some bloggers sported it recently. I had a belt on but felt like I would be adjusting it all day long and didn't feel like dealing with it. So, I ended up with this pretty lame outfit, but whatevs - it doesn't change the fact that its FRIDAY!!
Mocha Sweater - NY & Co, on sale for $10 (Jan. 2010)
Tank - Sears, online clearance for $3.99 (March 2010) (I may need to order more of these, great layering pieces for spring and fun colors!)
Scarf - Ebay, ? (many moons ago)
Jeans - Macy's, on sale for $48 (Jan. 2010)
Pink Striped Socks - Betsey Johnson/TJ Maxx
Blue "Suede" Shoes - Lela Rose/Payless, $30-ish (Early Fall 2009)
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Lame? You can't be serious. This is adorable and super flattering! And the print on the scarf is just lovely.
Never mind. Four out five ain't bad.
QUITTER!
hehe, j/k kimberly!
personally, i found that the tough part of the challenge isnt so much finding 5 (or more) different outfits to make out of the same pieces of clothing, but trying not to be bored wearing the same clothes after 5 days, even if the looks you create with them ARE different.
you did good, babe!
Well, at least you dropped out in style! Love the stripes and suede, and the mariposas around your waist!
dude if this is lame ... then i look like a homeless person today.
(no offense to homeless people)

You can't seriously think your outfit is lame? You look great! I am LOVING the butterfly scarf, and am filled with envy - I adore butterflies.
Have a great weekend!!
Oh, I absolutely love buying fall/winter clothes at the end of the season - such amazing prices. You look wonderful in this outfit - I especially love the mocha color of your sweater (this coming from a coffee addict, by the way).
Happy, Happy Weekend, my love!! :)

Love the tank. I just ordered all 4 colors! I have truly enjoyed reading your blog and finding so much inspiration. I have started buying belts and scraves. I never thought I could wear these, personal issues! I do have a question, The hardware on the belt does it need to match the jewelry you wear? For instance if my belt has goldtone hardware should I stick to goldtone jewelry? This is all new to me, playing dress up in my clothes and taking an interest in how I look and present myself. Thanks for your time and sorry so long!
Oh, don't worry about it! The absolute best thing about the way you dress is that is FOR YOU. I love the combo. I agree, wardrobe challenges are fun but would bore me, too :) You look fab, as always!
This is adorable and super flattering! And the print on the scarf is just lovely.
