It's part #2 time of Accessory Bootcamp focusing on how to wear a large floral statement necklace!
I adore statement necklaces - - NOW! The first time I put one on I felt like people weren't going to be able to notice anything but my necklace. However, the large necklace trend is definitely in and people are use to seeing them so now for some of you, you just need to get use to wearing them!
Statement necklaces are a great piece that can be worn year-round and according to all of the spring issues of Fashion Mags the trend is still going strong!
I think statement necklaces can be worn with everything from casual tees to sweaters and everywhere from drinks out with friends to boardroom meetings.
Since the size of the necklace is so large it is best to keep the focus on it and not your other pieces of jewelry. You can do this by wearing small stud or simple hoop earrings, classic bangle bracelets and your normal rings (if any).
As you can see there are no really tricks with incorporating Statement Necklaces into your wardrobe. It is more about the wearer and feeling comfortable with the large necklace. Next up: Bright Colored Scarf!

where can i get that black/grey/white necklace up at the top of this post?!
That blue shirt dress is adorable! And for someone who is hesitant to wear a statement necklace, I think it's the perfect "baby steps" piece - with that collar, the necklace would just peek out instead of being BAM in your face (not that I think this necklace is "in your face" but I could see how someone might feel like that when wearing it).
I love it! I never would have thought of tucking the necklace inside a collar shirt. Brilliant!
