1 Dress - 5 Ways

makethemost

Recently eShakti offered me an item from their site. I saw so many things I loved, but knew that I would get the most out of a dress that I could mix up and wear in a multitude of ways. So, when I spied this dress I knew it was the one!

dress

Lilies-of-the-valley cotton satin dress - eShakti, $69.50 (more than $50, I know but for a dress that you can customize it is totally worth it!)

The looks:

5

Work - accessorized with black, but add a pop of green by layering a turtleneck underneath
Ultrasoft Turtleneck Sweater - Target, $17.99
Malena Earring Set - Forever 21, $3.80
Glam Croc Belt - Forever 21, $8.80
Zora T-Strap Heels - 6pm.com, $34.50
Tights - Charlotte Russe, $4.99

3

Work - once again going basic with black but layering over the dress and adding some fun shoes (oooh, a varying patterned scarf in cream and black would be a great addition to!)
Perfect Cardigan - Old Navy, $20
Glam Croc Belt - Forever 21, $8.80
Tights - Charlotte Russe, $4.99
Marylynn Mary Jane Pumps - Target, $26.99

2

Nice dinner out, charity cocktail party - layer the cowl neck tissue tee shirt under the dress, add the polka dot sash as a belt for a fun cumberbund effect and you can never wrong with bright colored peep toe heels!
Cowl Neck Tee - Old Navy, $10.00
Sash - American Apparel, $16.00
Kathy Holiday Peep Toe Heel - Forever 21, $20.80

4

Picnic in the Park - come spring a great way to dress down this dress would be to pair a denim shirt over the dress (roll-up the sleeves and tie at the waist a la Daisy Duke) add a pretty charm necklace and some espadrilles.
Denim Boyfriend Shirt - NY & Co, $36.95
Etiquette Charms Necklace - Forever 21, $5.80
Espadrilles - 6pm.com, $19.75

1

Bridal Shower or Casual Wedding - go light and airy by adding neutral wedges with a lightweight cardigan in a soft pink color and pretty satin necklace.
Cropped Rosette Cardigan - Old Navy, $26.50
Silk Ribbon Necklace - Banana Republic, $14.99
Bronx Wedges - 6pm.com, $19.75

After putting this post together, I am super excited I chose this dress. Now I just can't wait to get it!

First off, that dress is amazing! And it's going to look fabulous on you!

Second I had never heard of that site before, and so I checked it out, and they have some great stuff!! I was just starting to prepare a blog post with a few selections from there, but now the site seems to be down :(

I bet all the traffic created by your post has overwhelmed their site. Hopefully it's back up soon.

Thanks!

Ohhh my gosh... I can't wait to see the dress on you! Did you customize it? The site has such cute pieces, and $15 for custom measurements sounds AMAZING.

Hi Kim, Have you purchased anything from EShakti before? I love their stuff especially because they have cute things in larger sizes but I have heard some negative stuff..just wondering.

These are beautiful looks; that dress is a perfect starting point. And, a dress = top + bottom, so each half is $34.75. :-)

Thank you so much for sharing this amazing website, EShakti with me! I am in LOVE with so many things on their site. And must admit that I have now found my Easter dress and cant wait for it to arrive. We are going to be attending church at THE Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on Easter so I have been searching for the absolute perfect dress.

I love what you have done with this little black and white number. Such inspiration.

Hope your vacation is wonderful!
