Daily Outfit - 01/07/10

dailywear

I had to get on the road this morning extra early due to the snow that was coming down and traffic being a mess, so I didn't snap a picture. It took me almost two hours to drive 20 miles - oh the joys of winter! I went with an extra simple outfit today, as you can see by the collage.

The best part of my outfit is how I tied my pashmina scarf today! Sarah of Classy and Fabulous tweeted about a link on Chic Critique with a fabulous new way to tie pashminas yesterday. After attacking a co-worker yesterday to try it out on her's I had to wear one myself today. Check it out below.

Black Turtleneck Sweater - TJ Maxx, $13 (Dec. 2009)
Purple Cardi - Walmart, on sale for $7 (Jan. 2009)
Black Pencil Skirt - Thrifted, $4 (Spring 2009)
Black Belt - NY & Co, on sale for $12 (2008)
Tory Burch Reva Flats - gifted
Pashmina - Jule, $12.50 (Dec. 2009)

A look at the knot:

Your outfit looks very classy. I'm also loving the turtleneck this season for the first time ever. Drive safely in this awful awful weather, hun!!! And FYI, I emailed the We Love Colors lady to say that you won the giveaway, and I'm waiting to hear back from her. Hope you have your favorite pair picked out!

That's not new! I've been tying mine like that for a few months now! I did it before it was popular! LOL!

Same here traffic wise. an hour and 15 minutes to go 14.4 miles. so fun! I am leaving early today...

Hmm...I think I'd like to wear a pretty, silk scarf tomorrow.

Thanks for the inspiration. :)
