Daily Outfit - 01/06/10

dailywear

The January Outfit Inspiration Calendar called for a Pop of Purple today. Well, that isn't hard with my closet and my recent love of all things purple. I do believe I could have covered myself from head to toe in the delicious color if I wanted to. However, I stuck with just a "pop" from the watercolor design of my shirt and necklace.

I followed the calendar today, but instead of a "pop" of purple, I decided to layer up a purple shirt I've had forever. Thanks to you, I was inspired to style up an old shirt in a new way!

The pop is perfect - just gorgeous with the print on that blouse.

Love it!

You have inspired me so much. I started reading your blog a few months ago, and already I have learned so much from you. I was lamenting all the 3/4 length sleeves in my wardrobe for winter, when, voila! I figured out to put something long sleeved underneath them.

Plus you've inspired me to try some colors and patterns I might not have otherwise.

Finally you've made me feel better about how little money I have to spend on clothes, and how stylish one can look when shopping for bargains at Target, etc.

The only thing I'm not really willing to try is heels for everyday where, with my walking commute and job that does require some standing. But you look oh-so-cute in them!

And now I am going to go buy that adorable top.

Anyway, a sincere thanks.

(I'm so embarrassed that I just wrote where instead of wear.)

Hi,
I've been doing the January Outfit Inspiration not because it's difficult to decide what to wear to work... but because I am extremely lazy and each day pick out a t-shirt to go with my jeans (I'm a journalist and it's okay to be dressed in a tee with jeans).
But I'm kinda reviving the old me. One who planned her outfits and put some effort into it.
It was Jan 6th yesterday.. and I'm not a big fan of Purple... so my pop of purple was a bunch of crazy bangles.

Today however is a little tough.. since Tan is not a colour commonly worn in India. So I'm carrying a tan bag with my off white with gold piping kurta.

Thank you. (My mum loves the change in me. :) )

I like that you're adding spices of colour here and there to your outfit via accessories

I do that too :)
