Daily Outfit - 11/04/09

dailywear

Today the Inspiration Calendar called for "Layer a patterned blazer over a simple dress". I wish I had a more "fun patterned" blazer, but I'm kind of lacking in blazers so a simple houndstooth it is. Since I went with black on black accessories with the necklace and belt I opted to toss on some berry colored tights to add a bit of color. I would have prefered a different shoe, but my menswear inspired pumps need some insoles as they are a bit big, and these were easy to grab along with being comfortable. Sometimes you just have to go with what is easy!

I was actually thinking this morning that I should check the calendar for some help but I don't have a patterned blazer! I love the way this looks. The colored tights are a great touch. I really want to buy a pair in that color too for the same reason.

i don't think houndstooth is simple! since the print is oversized, it's actually quite bold and i love it with the berry tights and gray shoes.
