Daily Outfit - 10/30/09

dailywear

Happy Friday!! It has been quite the week this week - super busy with work and tenant activities, my first exam in my licensing course (which I am happy to report I got a 98/100 on) and more. I am looking forward to doing some thrifting and "fun book" reading (vs. textbook reading) this weekend. I'm not a big Halloween person, so no real big plans there!

Keeping it simple with black and jeans today, but tossed on a scarf and some new shoes to keep it from being too bland.

Black Tee - TJ Maxx, $13 (Aug. 2009)
Black Knit Jacket - Du Jour/QVC, on sale for $24 (Aug. 2009)
Jeans - Compliments of Dressbarn
Scarf - Diane von Furstenberg/Selective Seconds Consignment Store, $8 (Oct. 2009)
Taupe Wedge Shoes - Vaneli/6pm.com, on sale for $15 (Oct. 2009)

Looked through an electronic Hermes Scarf Guide I had yesterday and decided to use this idea of wearing it like a man's tie so you could see lots of the pretty colors.

Lastly, the end of the month is here and its time for another Inspiration Calendar. I would love some feedback from you on the calendar, so please take a second to answer the poll below. Thanks!

What do you think of the Inspiration Calendar?
Love it - use it often!
Love seeing it even though I don't use it for outfit ideas for myself
Doesn't have good ideas

I love it! I find it most helpful when the link is to one picture. I do not find it helpful at all when the link leads you to many pictures of a particular person, etc.

Such a glorious print on that scarf.

I liked October's calendar a little less than previous months. Things I had to skip were designer collections and nature, I have NO imagination, which is why I use the calendars! The trend features were good since they're easily found in stores and in various styles.
I liked previous months where it seemed to suggest different combos of what we already had and you infused the new elements in it for us. I know that seems lazy on my part, but again, no imagination.
I also liked the weekend editions, I dress more casually than most so they applied to my everyday.

I love the calendar and when I'm back working again I'd love to give it a try.

Great scarf - I never would have thought to tie it like a man's tie - now I need to!

Howdy Kim- I have enjoyed the inspiration calendars over the past few months. The funny thing is that even if I dont follow it everyday, I seem to end up wearing a variation on an off day. Even today (patterned blazer over simple dress), I ended up wearing a patterned cardi over a some-what simple dress.

I know it's a lot of work, but I think most of us really appreciate it.
