Thanks for all the ideas! Scarves do tend to intimidate me. I am petite and plus size with a short neck and round face, so I'm always afraid I'll look top-heavy when I wear them.
And I hope this doesn't sound rude, but I think you meant je ne sais quoi?
Ha, Jennifer - how right you are! The mix of Word Auto Text, spell check, and typing this up at 11 pm wasn't a good mix!
I've gathered a few scaves from my Mom and such, so I'm going to try them out this season....we will see! BTW Love reading your blog. The ispiration calendar is great! I haven't followed it, but I do peek at it on a morning when I think I have nothing to wear.
i love scarves, but i'm not half as good as you at incorporating them into outfits. thanks for the tips!
I am definitely a scarf wearer...I wear different knits during different seasons, and I can't get enough of them. :)
I want the Charlotte Rouse flower one now..just saying.
I've been getting lots of scarfy queries, too! Thanks for those links - always good to have more scarf tying/wearing resources.
Actually, YOU are the reason I tried scarves :) I love them but didn't know how to tie them, so this is super helpful! Thanks!
I LOVE scarves, never leave home without at least two! I've used them for every conventional way and some really crazy ways! If you travel, they are lifesavers and look-changers over and over. Once on a flight, my baby son had soaked all of the clothes I had carried-on for him so I wrapped him up in a scarf toga-style!
I have to second FashionAddict - once I started reading your blog, I started picking up scarves on my thrifting trips.
I mostly stick to wearing them as belts or sashes, but last week I pinned one to the neckline of a wrap cardigan and got effusive compliments!
talking about scarves...and i wore one today lol
Please tell me why I have probably more than 25 scarves that I get for less than a dollar at the thrift store that have been piling up and I never wear them because I can't figure out what works best for me? This is so helpful!
