What goes with plaid? Why pearls and flowers! At least that is what I thought as I got dressed today. Plaid is everywhere for fall and I have to say, it isn't really a "me" pattern. However, with the addition of the scarf and one of the awesome necklaces from my Grandma Judy I feel like myself in this casual outfit.
Plaid Shirt - Burlington Coat Factory, $15 (Sept. 2009)
Jeans - Avenue, clearance for $20 (Summer 2009)
B/W Floral Scarf - H & M, $8 (2008)
Silver & Pearl Necklace - Vintage Avon/Grandma Judy Collection
Studded Flats - Burlington Coat Factory, $15 (Sept. 2009)
Now, I have to say I was rather pleased when I spied these flats during my recent trip to Burlington. They reminded me of the Nine West Vintage America Collection Flats for $69 (picture below) and for the amount that I will actually wear them the $54 savings is awesome!

Great score with the shoes! I thought they were the Nine West ones at first, too!
Plaid with florals? Bold and fun!
I like this side of you!
I like how you glam'ed it up!
Usually plaid isn't that appealing to me, but you really made this cute!
You lucky bum. I just went to Burlington Coat Factory on my lunch break and they had studded black flats for $12 but they just felt cheap and awful on my feet so I passed (plus they weren't as cute as yours anyway)
Great casual look!
I came across your blog from "My Wardrobe Today", and I just love it. I have had so much fun going through all of your posts. You have such great fashion sense, and I LOVE that you are a bargain shopper (a girl after my own heart!). I noticed that you are from Indy...I live in Greenwood! Do you have any good places you can recommend for thrift shopping? I would love to find a great place. Thanks! I'll be back! :)
I love plaid shorts right now and I think this is a great look on you!
