Reader Question - Bumpit Review

ReaderQuestion

I received a lot of questions and inquiries on the Bumpits I was sporting (here and here) last week. I've said it before, and I will say it again: I am all thumbs when it comes to doing my hair. Curling irons scare me - my usage of products is limited - and more. However, I found the bumpits (large and mini bangs) to be very easy to use.

My awesome friend, Hillary, bought a set of Bumpits around the same time I did and her hair-dos put mine to shame (just looky here and here). She graciously agreed to share an awesome slideshow tutorial she did with all of you.

So without further ado, I bring you Hillary and her Bumpit!

How I put in my Bumpit. Honestly it took 20 times longer to write about it than it takes. Start to finish it MAYBE takes me two minutes to put in, in the morning. I spend most the time on flat ironing my hair. I purchased mine from Sally's online. If you google "Sally coupon code" you can find codes for discounts too. I actually got my Bumpit and a bottle of nail polish from Sally's for less than just the Bumpit if you buy it direct from the company.

Link to full screen version.

If you are having a hard time reading it, you can either pause the slideshow or increase the time on each slide. (It wouldn't let me to that by default.)

Thanks so much for sharing, Hillary. Also, ladies, if you don't follow Hillary's blog you need to! Her wardrobe is killer, she does a lot of great product reviews, and other misc. cool stuff!

Thanks for sharing! My best friend and I were totally considering ordering the set and sharing, since we both "suffer" from straight hair. :)

Kimberly, how do you think these would work on curly hair? I looked at the Bumpits website when you first tried yours out, but I didn't see any models with curly hair. I would love to try them though!

You are the sweetest peach on the tree. I did it because of your email. I probably never would of if you hadn't asked. I didn't think people would be interested. Thank you for asking me to do this I am wicked flattered and am a lucky girl to call you friend! eeep!

Thanks so much, Kimberly! Mine are supposed to come in the mail this week, so I should be ready to go when they get here. :)

Ok, I'm convinced. I noticed the bumpits on both you girls' blogs and LOVE it. I have curly hair, but I'm thinking its worth a test. At the very least, I'll wear it when I straighten my hair.

I wasn't really interested in the bumpits at first because while I'm not great with my hair, either, I've gotten quite good at making my own bumps. ;-) But when I looked at the pics, and you mentioned how inexpensive they are, why not! (I shop Sally's often, anyway...)

I have curly hair, too, but as long as it isn't rainy or humid I flatiron it. So I can't wait to try them. Thanks!

Curly Hair Girls - I think the bumpits would still totally work with your hair. I mean you can pull curly hair back in all the same styles as straight hair, so why not!

Glad you ladies liked the tutorial.

Hillary - thanks again! I think we should work in commission for bumpits!! Ha!
