Added bonus, I can just toss jeans on with this when I get home since we are going out for a casual dinner with Dave's cousin (who I use to work with and introduced us) and her new boyfriend.
Random Update: I am enjoying my new DIY Jeweled Flats so much! I have worn them a handful of times, received compliments and as an added bonus no "jewels" have fallen off (ha! ha!). The black flats I embellished were pretty beat up already, so I decided to upgrade my black flats. Earlier in the week I picked up a pair of black patent flats at Payless (BOGO ends this weekend, btw) and moved the embellishment to them (after cutting off the bows). Oh my gosh, I love them!

Can you wear the jeweled flats without the jewels? OR is the velcro placement permanent? I was thinking of making a pair, but then thought that I might want it both ways: plain one day and jeweled the next.

Becca - the velcro on my jeweled flats is permanent. However, you could probably make a shoe clip type thing using these so it would be removable! Good luck!
What did you think of the quality on the Mandee.com buys? I was tempted to get some boots the other day, but I was worried that I'd get what I paid for!! (I think they were $18) I know you ordered those purple heels too - how did they come out? Thanks!
AmyZ - I just gave the purple heels a quick once over as I pulled them out of the box last evening, but I would say they are the equivalant of a Payless/Charlotte Russe/Forever 21 shoe.

I never go to MAcy's.I really don't live near one( The closest is an hour away) but I'm going have to start. I got some black flats that I don't like the jewels on them( I got some silver ones too.) I'm going to reach deep inside and pull my crafty talent out and see i can recreate my flats...:)
