Fashion Inspiration - Grandma Judy

My Grandma Judy taught me a lot about fashion and always looking your best. She always dressed with flair and was well put together. She was the queen of accessories (some of which I am fortunate to have now - the "Grandma Judy Collection") and wore bright red lipstick better than anyone I know. I can remember spending countless hours at Fashion Shop (a local TJ Maxx type place that has since closed down) while we scoured the racks looking for the perfect outfit at an even better price (she didn't believe in separates - you always had to buy a bottom to go with the shirt you were thinking of buying, etc. which still to this day don't understand, but back in the day it was all about "outfits"). And she even embraced my search for a black poet's blouse so I could be a hottie at a middle school dance, and once we finally found it after looking in more stores than I care to remember she happily paid for it.

Unfortunately, I lost my Grandma Judy three years ago today. She had a stroke the day after her 80th birthday (she wore gold tennis shoes to the hospital - I told you she had flair!) and passed four days later. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her and smile at all of the fun we had together and fond memories I have because of her.

I love ya, Grandma! I miss ya, Grandma! And I thank you, Grandma!
